The Exmouth Shanty Men do it with gusto! Devon's 'original buoy band' first burst on to the folk scene in 2007 and their flourishing reputation has been founded on the authenticity and integrity of their performance.
"A soulful player and an all round diamond geezer" Chris Woods Groove
My name's David Waller and I'm an acoustic singer-songwriter based in Broadclyst, Exeter. I've been influenced by artists such as Ben Howard, Newton Faulkner, Jack Johnson and many more. I use many percussive and finger style techniques to compose more expressively and perform as a solo artist in an emotive and exciting way. All information concerning gigs and releases will be posted on my Facebook Page DavidWallerMusic.
"The South-west's finest purveyor of real traditional Irish music"
It's St Patrick's Day this week so be sure not to miss Sunny Jim. This band is the South-west's finest purveyor of real traditional Irish music. Made up of ex-members of festival favourites the Joyce Gang and Last Night's Fun, Sunny Jim bring you the best in Irish song along with fast and furious jigs and reels on fiddle, whistles and pipes, all delivered with more than a dash of Irish wit and charm.
Just Misbehavin' play a lively mixture of swing, jazz and dance music. You'll hear plenty of favourites plus some unexpected numbers all given an irresistible swing treatment.
The amazing Lynn Thornton on vocals will beguile you with her beautiful tone, shock you when she growls and delight you with her wonderful interpretation songs you know and love. The band creates the essential rhythm and solos for a complete jazz experience.
If you want fun, you like jazz and you want to dance, then you want to see this band...
